Individual Volunteer Opportunities

Individual opportunities are available in many areas. Whether a person wants to commit to a few hours of time or be involved for a longer term; there is no shortage of opportunity to get involved.

Sponsor-a-bed Fundraiser

We are in the process of supplying a single bed for each tenant in the Victory Manor. Sleep Country Canada has generously donated twenty-five of the fifty-four beds that we require. Although Sleep Country is not able to donate any more beds for this project, they have still given us a very good price on purchasing them.

One bed can be purchased with each donation of $250.00. Any cheques sent can be make out to the Victory Outreach Foundation and a donation receipt will be issued.

Other Projects

Currently we are looking for help in the demolition and renovation of the common area bathrooms and kitchens throughout the building. In addition to this renovation, we are also looking to install two new washrooms and a new kitchen on the main level.

We are also looking for volunteers who would like to be a friend to a tenant within the building. This would require a committment to meet with an individual once a week in order to assist them in getting groceries, getting to a doctor's appointment, or just chatting over a coffee or lunch.

We would also like to expand this type of interaction to seniors within the community.

Another area to get involved is in one of our meal outreaches where we prepare and serve a meal to hundreds of individuals.
